A chain is different from a brokerage account
Robinhood documents Robinhood Chain as a permissionless, Ethereum-compatible layer 2 built with Arbitrum Dedicated Blockchains. Its stated focus includes tokenized real-world assets. A blockchain transfer and a brokerage transaction have different records and conditions; the chain's existence does not determine the rights attached to every token deployed on it.
ETH fees and issuer-specific assets
ETH is the documented native gas asset. A tokenized equity or fund is a separate instrument whose issuer terms can define redemption, transfer eligibility and economic rights. Network compatibility alone does not make such a token equivalent to directly owning its referenced security. Verify those terms at the issuing product rather than inferring them from a ticker.
Interpret the reported chain balance
The TVL panel follows the provider's Robinhood Chain identity. It is not Robinhood's corporate assets, customer brokerage balance or a valuation of its shares. Examine which application balances contribute to the number and whether reported activity is concentrated in one issuer. Protocol-wide and chain-specific figures remain different scopes.
Separate the layers of risk
- Consider chain operation and settlement alongside the destination contract's controls.
- For a tokenized asset, inspect issuer custody, redemption restrictions and legal documentation.
- A quoted token price, high TVL or an open network does not establish unlimited liquidity or unrestricted product access.
