  • This is a valuation scenario. Market cap is price multiplied by supply; a change in market cap is not the amount of money invested.

Formula and worked example

Current cap = price × circulating supply. Scenario price = scenario cap ÷ scenario supply. FDV uses the explicitly entered maximum supply.

Hypothetical example: price $2 and 1,000,000 circulating tokens give a $2,000,000 cap. A $5,000,000 scenario cap with 1,250,000 tokens gives a $4 price, a 100% increase. At a 2,000,000 maximum supply, current FDV is $4,000,000 and scenario FDV is $8,000,000.

These estimates use bounded decimal arithmetic. They are scenario calculations, not trading instructions or forecasts.

How to use this tool

Choose direct supply or an unlock schedule. Keep the supply definition consistent, and compare the implied price under your own target valuation.

Does a market-cap increase equal money invested?

No. Market cap multiplies a price by a supply assumption. It does not measure cash flowing into the asset or predict execution prices.
