Formula and worked example

The selected method transforms your high, low and close into a pivot and paired levels. Woodie weights the current opening price. Traditional and Classic use different third-level formulas.

Hypothetical Traditional inputs: high 110, low 90 and close 100 give pivot 100, R1/S1 110/90, R2/S2 120/80 and R3/S3 130/70. Classic instead gives third levels 140/60. Supply the same session convention when comparing methods.

These estimates use bounded decimal arithmetic. They are scenario calculations, not trading instructions or forecasts.
