Restaking supports additional services

EigenCloud includes EigenLayer, which connects restakers, operators and verifiable services. Assets committed through restaking can secure services beyond their original use. Operators run service software, and service-defined commitments can carry rewards and slashing consequences. The provider's EigenCloud restaking row should not be read as a revenue total for every EigenCloud product.

Separate base staking from added commitments

A native ETH position and a liquid staking token have different initial structures. Restaking either adds a further contract and operator relationship. EIGEN token exposure is also distinct from a claim to all deposited ETH. Rewards for a service depend on that service's arrangements; an advertised reward is not the same as a guaranteed increase in underlying assets.

Capital can support overlapping layers

A liquid staking receipt can represent ETH already counted elsewhere in a staking stack. Restaking TVL therefore should not simply be added to liquid staking TVL to estimate unique capital. Examine which asset and service commitment is being measured, and keep withdrawal timing separate from the dollar value of the committed balance.

Review the operator and service rules

  • Operator behavior and service-specific slashing conditions can affect the committed stake.
  • Exit timing and time-bound commitments matter independently of the displayed reward rate.
  • Contract, delegation and underlying receipt-token risks can accumulate across the restaking arrangement.
