About Bitwise Bitcoin ETF

Bitwise Bitcoin ETF trades on NYSE Arca under BITB. The product holds bitcoin and gives investors an interest in those assets through exchange traded shares. Bitwise's fund page identifies it as an exchange traded product and publishes its ticker, CUSIP, shares outstanding and service providers. The bitcoin exposure comes from the trust's holdings rather than from ownership of bitcoin mining companies or a changing selection of crypto businesses. A shareholder can trade the security through a broker while the trust handles the asset holding arrangements described in its prospectus. [issuer] [prospectus]

Bitwise Investment Advisers, LLC is the sponsor. The issuer identifies Bank of New York Mellon as administrator and trust custodian, and Coinbase Custody Trust Company as digital asset custodian. These are separate responsibilities: the trust's administrative records and its bitcoin safekeeping are different parts of the operation. The prospectus sets out how the sponsor oversees the trust and how authorized participants transact in share baskets. Ordinary shareholders generally buy or sell shares in the secondary market rather than instructing the trust to send bitcoin to a personal address. [prospectus]

BITB's product page includes bitcoin reserve information alongside net asset value and share market information. The explanatory notes are important. Reserve balances can reflect settlement timing and do not necessarily deduct the same accrued expenses as the accounting measure of net assets. The issuer also explains that expenses reduce the bitcoin represented by each share over the life of the product. Reading the date and definition attached to a figure is therefore more useful than comparing two unlabeled totals. A published wallet balance, a financial statement balance and a market price answer different questions. [issuer]

The SEC filing list on this page is tied to BITB's verified issuer CIK and retains accession numbers so that each document can be checked at its original source. Financial reports provide period specific accounts, while prospectuses describe the offering and the operating terms. Later supplements may change an arrangement that appeared in an older document. BITB is not an investment company registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940. Its disclosures explain the consequences of that structure, together with bitcoin volatility, custody and liquidity risks. [prospectus]
